Hammers Lacrosse was founded by Coach Reyes while he lived in Northern Virginia where they quickly became one of the premiere developmental lacrosse clubs in the region.

Since 2015, they have sent over 50 student athletes to play at the next level as well as helped develop the growth and level of play of lacrosse in the area.

Coach Reyes is the Director of Operations of Hammers Lacrosse (formerly Evergreen Lacrosse) who helped launch the program back in October 2014. He is currently an Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach at NCAA Division II Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina. The Royals finished #12 in the nation in 2019 with a 13-5 record.

Coach Reyes was the former Varsity Head Coach at Woodgrove High School in Purcellville, Virginia from 2018 and 2019 after serving as the Woodgrove Varsity Assistant in 2017 and the Loudoun Valley JV Head Coach 2016.

Throughout his coaching career, Coach Reyes has mentored young men who have gone on to play and study at numerous colleges and universities at all different levels such as High Point University, VMI, Christopher Newport University, Tampa University, Lafayette College, Virginia Tech, Lynchburg University, University of South Carolina, Mary Washington, Washington College and many other intercollegiate programs. Reyes is also extremely proud of all of the All-Conference, All-Region, All-State, All American and Bob Scott selections he has coached over the years. He has also served as the Head Coach of the Virginia National Team and Assistant Coach of the Patriot League Team at the Committed Academy.

Coach Reyes was a midfielder at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, Virginia for 3 seasons where he also served as team captain and a recipient of the annual leadership award. After high school, he would go off to play at DIII Christopher Newport University for two seasons (2011-2013)  before launching the Evergreen Lacrosse Club in 2014 during his junior year.

Coach Reyes was also a member and team captain of the Philippines Lacrosse Association (PLA). The PLA is now recognized as the Philippines National Team and an official member of the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) that competes in the World Games, and hopefully one day, the Olympics. They are currently ranked 10th in the world after a stellar performance in the 2018 World Games.

Coach Mabry has been a coach with Hammers since 2014. Born and raised in Ashburn, VA, Coach Mabry is very focused on developing lacrosse players from this region. At Broad Run High School in 2011, Mabry was an All Dulles District Conference player and selected to play in the Champion All-American Showcase.

While at Christopher Newport University, Mabry went on to set the record for starts in program history at 65 games. Mabry was also a 2 x Captain, All VASID selection and All Capitol Athletic Conference selection in 2016.

Coach Mabry formerly served as the Director of Lacrosse Performance Training at The Grind Strength and Conditioning before taking the position of Director of Player Development of the Evergreen Lacrosse Club.

In the fall of 2016, Mabry was brought on staff by Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, VA. In his first year at Paul VI, Mabry ran the off season strength & conditioning program and assisted on both sides of the ball during the spring with a focus on defense. Coach Mabry was then named Defensive Coordinator for the 2018 season and, in his first year as DC, the team competed in the WCAC Championship and won their first VISAA Division 1 Championship.
